Original Release: 2/4/2022

The Lyndhurst Fire Department recommends that you have at least one smoke alarm on every level of your home.

Be sure your smoke alarms are near bedrooms and other sleeping areas in your home.

Learn more about the Lyndhurst Fire Department Smoke Detector Program here for more information on free smoke alarms and installation for seniors and people with disabilities.

Smoke alarms save lives, but only if they are installed and working.

The majority of fire fatalities occur in homes without working smoke alarms.

Thank you!
