Original Release: 6/17/2022
Two new retail experiences are coming to Legacy Village just in time for summer. Revival Body Care, a natural beauty and wellness brand owned by Nicole Dzurko, will be opening its second Ohio location at Legacy Village on Saturday, June 18th 2022. Local artist Marlisa Dunn has also opened a studio/gallery and is serving as Legacy Village's summer Artist in Residence.
"We are thrilled to welcome two local, female-owned businesses to Legacy Village," said Legacy Village General Manager Susan Windle. "Each space will feel like an oasis and visitors will be inspired by Nicole's passion for clean living and sustainable self-care products and Marlisa's ability to convey emotion and longing in her paintings. Marlisa will also be live painting during select Legacy Live concerts and we're excited for the energy that will add to our summer events."
Revival Body Care
Revival Body Care is a locally owned natural beauty and wellness destination, with a focus on education and sustainability. Since its launch in 2015, owner and maker Nicole Dzurko moved from her home kitchen to the Revival Flagship store and headquarters in Lakewood. Revival has swiftly grown and expanded its offerings to include a comprehensive collection of all-natural skin, lip and hair care products created using only the finest quality organic, fair trade, 100% vegan ingredients. Every blend of carefully curated ingredients is handcrafted in small batches.
Sustainability is key to Revival's business model and Dzurko will bring her Revival Recycles program to Legacy Village, where customers can return empty Revival containers to be reused and/or recycled. Revival will also host a variety of events, including Revival Retreats, Wellness Wednesdays and Happy Healthy Hours.
"I started this company with a vision to not only provide gentle, yet effective, products created using only the finest quality certified organic, fair-trade, 100% vegan ingredients, but to use my platform as a brand owner to provide motivation, education, and empowerment in regard to self-care and wellness," said Dzurko. "We have been exploring expanding to be in closer proximity to the eastside to reach both our existing and new customers. We love the vibrancy of Legacy Village, and this opportunity came at the perfect time. We couldn't be more excited to be a part of the Legacy Village community."

Marlisa Dunn Art
Artist Marlisa Dunn, of Cleveland Heights, is Legacy Village's summer Artist in Residence, with a studio/gallery open near Starbucks. Dunn will create paintings on-site during select Legacy Live concerts throughout the summer, with her next appearance scheduled for Saturday, July 2nd 2022. She will also hold open studio hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM where visitors can watch her work. At the conclusion of her summer residency, Dunn will host an art show and sale on September 17-19 with the paintings she created during the summer available for purchase.
A former gym owner, Dunn picked up painting as a hobby two years ago. "It was something I fell in love with and wished I had started sooner. It was like learning a new language and changed how I see things in the world," said Dunn.
"When the pandemic hit, I was left scrambling as gyms were forced to close. There was tremendous uncertainty in the world and with the future of my gym. I channeled that devastating emotion into painting. I painted every single day in 2020 and found new ways to express myself and knew this was the path I needed to follow."
Dunn primarily paints small and larger-than-life portraits and florals, using oil paint and watercolors. "Through this residency, I hope to push myself creatively, expand my techniques and tap into the emotion and sense of longing of what I'm painting. I also receive great energy from painting live at events and I hope to harness that in my Legacy Live paintings."
