Media Release Suspicion / Shots Fired

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 01:51 a.m., callers reported hearing several shots fired in the 1100 block of Gordon Rd.

Officers in the area advised they heard shots as well. Responding officers made brief contact with a male at a residence, who subsequently barricaded himself inside.

A female inside the residence was able to make it out unharmed, and is currently cooperating with the police.

Other than the lone male, no one else is believed to be inside the residence. At this time, police have been unable to make contact with the male. SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams were called and are on scene.

Police operations are currently ongoing and additional information will be forthcoming.

As of this release, all police operations in the 1100 block of Gordon Rd. have ended. SWAT Officers eventually made contact with a male inside the residence, entered the house, and took the male into custody at approximately 5:33 AM. Charges are pending, as this incident remains under investigation.
