On Sunday, November 11th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Lyndhurst Police Department joins those of Mayfield Village, Gates Mills, Highland Heights, Mayfield Heights and Richmond Heights in a Veteran's Day military care package donation drive and police/community event at Drug Mart in Highland Heights.
In partnership with the USO of Northern Ohio, members of these agencies and cadets from the Cleveland Heights Police Academy, will collect donation of toiletries, snacks and other personal items for our servicemen and servicewomen currently serving in the military.
The drive will take place at the Drug Mart in Highland Heights (765 Alpha Drive, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143) on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Shopping lists of suggested items (and those prohibited) will be available from police officers.
Additionally, meet your local law enforcement officers and get hands on with police cruisers and tactical vehicles. K-9 Leo and his handler will conduct a police dog demonstration at 1:30 pm.
Join us in supporting the men and women of our military as they spend the holidays separated from their loved ones.
