![]() Multi-Community 'Coffee with the Cops' Event Held October 28th 2017 A Success. Special Thanks by Chief Rick Porrello - City of Lyndhurst, OhioOriginal Release: 11/2/2017 On Saturday, October 28th 2017, a multi-community 'Coffee with the Cops' event was held at Grace Tabernacle Church. This was the Lyndhurst Police Department's third time participating with its Cleveland Clinic partners in this initiative. Saturday morning's event was a collaborative effort with the police departments of the Cleveland Clinic, Richmond Heights, South Euclid and Lyndhurst, hosted at the Grace Tabernacle Church. Coffee with the Cops brings together police officers and members of the communities they serve in a casual setting to discuss issues of mutual concern in order to create and strengthen relationships. We had a very good response that included residents of all three cities, and students and administrators of South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools. Following the event, members of the Lyndhurst Police Department participated in a separate discussion group with Brush High School students and staff. I thank all of the above mentioned participants, the community members who attended, and the Cleveland Clinic's wonderful outreach staff. Thank you to Reverand Camille Brown and Interim Pastor Wayne Dawson for opening their church as the venue and assisting with arrangements for this great community event. Refreshments for this event were donated through the generosity of Dave's Supermarket in Richmond Heights and Lyndhurst's new Produce Market and Deli located at 5564 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124. Rick Porrello, Chief of Police |
