![]() From the Lyndhurst Garden Club Original Release: 2/15/2016 ![]() WELCOME: It's time to start planning that upcoming garden project! The Lyndhurst Garden Club cordially invites you to attend a meeting, visit a plant sale, take a trip to a greenhouse, or plant a perennial! HISTORY: The Lyndhurst Garden Club was established in 1937. MEETINGS: The Lyndhurst Garden Club meets at 7:00 PM on the 1st Thursday of every Month, February through June, and September through December, at the Lyndhurst Community Center, 1341 Parkview Drive, Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124. PROGRAMS: Programs begin at 8:00 PM. April 7th 2016 Cleveland's Cultural Gardens, Rebecca McFarland May 5th 2016 Herbs for Flavor, Fragrance and Fitness, Kathleen Gips June 2nd 2016 Beginning Beekeeping, Dennis Eck OPEN TO: New members and visitors are always welcome to attend. The Lyndhurst Garden Club is open to all and welcomes new members. PERENNIAL AND HERB SALE: In May, the club holds its yearly Perennial and Herb Sale at the Little Red Schoolhouse, which is located on Richmond Road behind the Board of Education building. This popular sale features herbs and perennials dug from members own gardens that are sold at very reasonable prices. The perennial sale is a major fundraiser for the club and helps to support civic donations, maintenance and planting in community gardens as well as scholarships for horticulture students. You won't want to miss this sale! This year's Perennial and Herb Sale is scheduled for Saturday, 28th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. ANNUALS SALE: The club also holds an Annuals Sale in the spring that includes flats, hanging baskets, geraniums and select perennials. Plant orders are due in April and must be prepaid. Plants will be available for customer pickup at the Rae Road parking lot in Lyndhurst Park Saturday, May 14. Order forms for annuals are available from club members or by messaging the club's Facebook page, Lyndhurst Garden Club - Ohio. There you will also find updates on plant sales, programs and links to gardening events. AFFILIATIONS: The club is affiliated with the National Garden Club, the Garden Club of Ohio and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
