About:

➜ Client Information

HEFC Serves only residents of Cleveland Hts., University Hts., South Euclid and Lyndhurst. (Note: During COVID, we are waiving residency requirements.)

Clients who meet the government household income limits (current limits are posted) are eligible to receive food once per calendar month.

➜ New clients must provide the following information for initial intake:

• Address and phone number

• Photo ID for the head of household

• Birthdate for each household member

• Proof of address for the head of household, such as a current piece of mail (bill or similar official correspondence. Note: a driver's license does not meet this requirement).

If some information is not available at the first visit, clients will be served — required information must be provided at the next service visit.

New clients will also be asked about racial and ethnic identification, disability status, military/veteran status, and source of health care insurance for all household members, for government statistics. Clients may decline to provide this information.

Documentation that clients continue to live on our service area will be rechecked annually, at the client's first visit for the calendar year. When you enter your initials in the computer system at each visit, you are certifying that your family lives in the service area, and that you meet the household income limits.

The family member (or designated proxy) who is picking up the food must bring a photo ID at every visit in order to be served.

New clients who are not in the Heights Emergency Food Center service area will be served on a one-time basis, and provided with information as to the correct pantry they must go to for all future visits.
